Supply Run

Overview

Supply Run is the first and most basic form of gameplay in the ZOS universe. Players select a Basic Load Out (1 Survivor, 1 Weapon, 1 Shield) Players select a Supply Run Duration (4 Hours, 12 Hours, 1 Day, 3 Days, 7 Days) Run Durations directly impact Loot Reward Tables. Players are rewarded with Loot. Loot consists of Food, Weapons & Shields. Survivors take damage during runs, they need to be healed to 10 health before they can run again. Supply Run is the only game mode that will reward food in ZOS.

Mechanics

Survivor Health Survivors are minted with 100 Health. When a Survivor returns back from a Supply Run, they will have taken damage and may need healing before they can go back out on more Supply Runs. Survivors must have a minimum of 10 Health before they can be used in a Supply Run.

Weapon Strength Weapons have different Strength values. Common Weapons have the lowest Strength scores, Mythic Weapons have the highest Strength scores. Weapon Strength has a direct impact on the Loot Chance of Supply Runs.

Shield Defence Shields have different Defence values. Common Shields have the lowest Defence values, Mythic Shields have the highest Defence values. Shield Defence has a direct impact on how many Health Points are lost on a Supply Run.

Zombie Strength Zombie Strength is randomized at the beginning of a Supply Run. It is used as part of the equation to calculate how many Health Points the Survivor will lose in the Supply Run.

Zombie Defence Zombie Defence is a fixed number (This can change at a later date, but for launch will remain fixed). It is used as part of the equation to calculate how many Damage Points the Survivor deals against Zombies during a Supply Run. The amount of Damage Points the Survivor hits on a Supply Run impacts the chance of loot.

The Horde The Horde mechanic is rolled at the beginning of a Supply Run. If a Survivor hits a horde in the Supply Run it gives the Survivor an opportunity to score more Damage Points resulting in better loot chance. However it also means the Survivor can lose more Health Points due to fighting more Zombies.

Calculations

Number of Zombies

The number of zombies encountered increases with the duration of a supply run, and is the primary number used to calculate rewards and damage.

The ‘Number of zombies’ encountered on each supply run shall be determined as follows:

Is horde Encountered? Yes/No

Number of Zombies = Base + Horde amount [if encountered]

Base number = Fixed value Horde chance = % chance that a ‘Horde’ will be encountered, based on RNG.

Zombie values found in Appendix.

Dealing Damage

Damage dealt during a Supply Run directly impacts reward chances.

Weapon Strength is modified based on the duration of a supply run as follows: 4 Hour 1x 12 Hour 1.5x 1 Day 2x 3 Days 2.5x 7 Days 3x

Damage Dealt shall be determined as follows:

((Number of Zombies * (Weapon Strength *Modifier)) / Zombie Defence) + 10

For example: A User triggers a 1 day run and encounters 9 Zombies with the Zombie Strength fixed at 5. The user has selected an Epic weapon (Weapon Strength of 21) (( 9 Zombies * (Weapon Strength 21 * Modifier 2) / Zombie Defence 5) + 10 = 86 Damage Dealt A score of 86 is then entered into the relevant Loot table for the Supply Run Duration.

Taking Damage

Damage Taken during a Supply Run directly impacts health.

A base level of 5 damage for ‘Mythic’ shields and 10 damage for all others is taken every supply run regardless of conditions

(('Number of Zombies' * 'Zombie Strength') / 'Shield Strength') + Base

‘Zombie Strength’ shall be a random integer between 5 and 10. Damage Taken shall be rounded UP to the next integer.

Rewards

Loot Structure Supply Runs (Single Player) is the only game mode in ZOS that Survivors can find food. Survivors also have a small chance at finding weapons, shields and other items too. Each Run Duration has a different amount of fixed food that will be rewarded every time a player carries out that run: 4 Hour run = 30 Healing Points

12 Hour Run = 35 Healing Points

1 Day = 45 Healing Points

3 Days = 80 Healing Points

7 Days = 150 Healing Points
